Why Choose a Bichon?

Bichon Frises make wonderful pets.  They have such sweet temperaments and love being loved.  The Bichon has a curly soft outer coat and a silky undercoat.  They are hypoallergenic and non-shedding.  Bichons are white but may have shadings of buff, cream or apricot around the ears or on the body. Any color in excess of 10% of the entire coat of a mature dog is a fault for AKC conformation showing and should be penalized, but color of the accepted shadings should not be faulted in puppies. Bichons weight from 10 to 18 lbs and are 9 to 12 inches in height.  Intelligent and highly attentive but not hyperactive, these little dogs are devoted companions and great playmates.  Their sweet smile (yes, everyone seems to agree that Bichons smile) will endure you to them forever.  Their round black eyes are especially captivating. Cricket is good around other pets.  She loves people and tries to win over all who come.  These are very social pets and wonderful companions.  The Bichon Frise originated in the 13th century and was a favorite of French Royalty.
